Dr. Anthony T. Bryan, President of Anthony Bryan and Associates, is the leading Caribbean expert on US-Caribbean relations and a long established international business and trade consultant. He is a policy expert on border and port security developments in the Caribbean, whose recent work has focused on US security interests in the region and the linkage to regional trade and transportation issues. He is currently a Senior Associate in the Americas Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., and has been a professor of international relations at the University of the West Indies-St. Augustine (T&T) and the University of Miami, and a Senior Associate with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. He has published extensively on issues of diplomatic and trade relations, security, and small state development as they relate to the Caribbean. Dr. Bryan, born in Trinidad and Tobago has been an advisor to various governments, international organizations, and corporate clients on Caribbean business and trade issues and on US-Caribbean relations.
