John C. Baize is also President of John C. Baize and Associates, an international agricultural trade consulting firm. Baize is an international trade policy specialist whose areas of expertise include agricultural trade and export policies with an emphasis on the soybean, oilseed, feed, and livestock/poultry sectors. He served on the staff of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture and has been Vice President and Director of the Washington office of the American Soybeans Association—a trade association committed to liberal trade—and was chairman of the USTR/USDA Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee on Grain and Oilseeds. His clients have included U.S. and non-US agricultural trade associations and agribusiness firms. He is considered a worldwide expert on the global soybean sector including trade in soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil and competing products and policies impacting trade in the sector.
