Roger M. Ervin. Prior to his work for Manchester Roger was appointed by President Clinton to be Special Minister Counselor for the U.S. Department of Commerce in Johannesburg South Africa. This Ambassador rank position oversaw all commercial relations between the U.S. and Southern African governments including trade and investment agreements, commercial advocacy and general information research and dissemination. Prior to his appointment from 1998-1990, Roger led the AGOA Coalition in Washington, which led to the passage of this landmark legislation.
He has extensive experience In Congress having worked for Senator Joseph Biden, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and Congressmen Teddy Weiss and Joe Kennedy. He also directed the office of Congressional Affairs for the Africa Development Foundation and established the Washingt9on office for the Africa development bank. Mr. Ervin also has distinguished himself in diplomatic service having served as Chief of Staff for Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Hon. George Moose. Mr. Ervin has a Bachelors degree in biology from Tulane University.
